Privacy policy

Last updated: 7 November 2026

asma helps parents find a name for their baby, together. This page explains what information the app uses, why, and the choices you have. We keep it to what the app needs to work. We don't show ads, we don't sell your information, and we don't use it to track you across other apps or websites.

What we collect

What we don't collect

No contacts, photos, location, microphone or camera access. No advertising identifiers, no third-party analytics, no tracking.

How it's used

Only to run the app: signing you in, pairing you with your partner and family, showing a match when you both like a name, keeping your shortlist in sync on both phones, and sending the notifications you've turned on. Your likes and passes are private: your partner never sees them — only names you both like appear, as a match. Family members never see your matches; they only see the shortlist you share with them.

Who helps us run it

We use a few trusted services that process data only on our behalf:

How long we keep it

As long as your account exists. When you delete your account, your account, swipes, matches and other personal data are deleted. Shared couple data your partner still uses (for example your shared shortlist) stays with them. If you made a purchase, we keep the record of it so it can be restored for your partner or if you come back.

Your choices

Children

asma is made for parents and their families. It isn't meant for children, and we don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 13.

Changes

If we change this policy, we'll update the date above, and tell you in the app if the change matters.
